If you are still having problems getting the information to sync correctly, if you email us your timeline file and Scrivener projects to then this can help us look at what the issue is.Cost: $15 for YARWA members, $25 for non-members Let us know if you need more help with this. Open up the Project Sync Settings via the cog wheel on the binder, and check that next to Arc the dropdown has the corresponding Scrivener value chosen (in your case it looks like it should be Event arc). When you create a new entity, you can either give it a start date, or you can set its age at the time of its first appearance. Under the timeline itself, you can see various characters or organizations. Here’s the timeline for all the Harp books so far. You also need to check that the property is being synced. Honestly, there’s nothing like it that I’ve ever discovered. If you are having problems with changes in timeline not being synced back correctly, then the first thing to check would be that the event is synced correctly - it should have a green tick next to it in the binder. Start with an Aeon Timeline project and sync to Scrivener, or if you already have a Scrivener Project in progress you can use the sync function to create a new Timeline which is great if you have 1 book and are not planning to make it a series with a story arc you want to maintain across all books. If the events already exist on the timeline d ue to being synced from the first project, then you have choose to link it to the document in the second project manually (right click the document and choose link to event). Syncing between Aeon Timeline 3 and Scrivener can work with either app as the starting point and at anytime during the creative process in either project. When you sync to the second project for the first time, it will say that all the documents are unlinked, because that is true for the second project. This is because in the second project, you haven't linked them to anything - they are only linked to documents in the first project. I assume this is because you are seeing all your events that you synced to the first project in the "Unlinked events" header (let me know if I am incorrect in this assumption). So for example, in the Tab called "Events", you say that it seems to hold all files from the first sync. It doesn't show the information for what you have synced to in other projects, you would have to choose the sync to them to see that information in the binder. ![]() When you are syncing one timeline to multiple Scrivener projects, the contents of the binder (eg "Binder", "Warnings" and "Events") only shows the syncing information about the current Scrivener project you are syncing to - the one that you chose from the Sync menu. I use these 4 metadafieldsfrom scrivener: Start, Participant, Observer, Event arc. Using scrivener + Aeon in 1 on 1 is fine and wor ks perfect, but 2 on 1 does NOT. This happens, whether I sync to Scrivener 1 or Scrivener 2 project. the first sync into new fresh aeon is ok, syncing second scrivener file seems ok too, but I am confused about the meaning of the TAB called "Events" which seems to hold all files from first sync!!! SO when you have 2 Scrivener projects you sync, how should one consider the content / meaning of "Binder", "Warnings" and "Events"? On a test I realised that heeding the "Warning" I got doubled items on the time line.ĪND making changes in timeline, say connecting an item to an ARC this change will never be synced back to scrivener.ĪND using Inspector it seems that all files in "Event" are not linked anymore? two scrivener files with no common inputs. I have just discovered that syncing two scrivener project into one common Aeon timeline does not work on 're-syncing' back to Scrivener.
